Drafted in the pre-season of 1995 by the West Coast Eagles, Chad Morrision made his AFL debut in 1996, creating an immediate impression. An AFL Rising Star nominee in his debut year, he followed on in 1997 to finish third in the Eagles best and fairest award.

A versatile footballer, Chad has roamed from defense, through the midfield and also played in the forward line during his consistent career. A state of origin representative for Victoria, he enjoyed a great 2000, playing all 22 games and averaging 23 possessions.

Former Eagles coach, Mick Malthouse, enticed Chad to Collingwood at the conclusion of the 2004 season, to add experience to the Magpie midfield. A childhood Collingwood supporter, he will feel right at home at Victoria Park.
