Chad Jones

15 June 1984
West Coast
2003 National AFL Draft Pick No. 24 (Kangaroos)
2004 AFL Debut (Kangaroos)
2006 Rookie Draft (West Coast)

Chad is originally from Claremont, Western Australia. He is a tall, key position player, who spent three seasons with the Kangaroos before returning home to join his brother at the Eagles.

Chad debuted for the Kangaroos in the 2004 season, but unfortunately injury set back his career slightly and he was delisted in 2006.

Fortunately for Chad, West Coast picked him up in the 2006 Rookie Draft at pick number 24.

He was elevated from the rookie list in 2007 and played 4 senior games, including a 3 goal haul against Adelaide in Round 13. His form for WAFL club Claremont was outstanding as a key forward and he proved to be a very capable goalkicker. These attributes may well see Chad become a permanent fixture in the Eagles forward line in 2008 and beyond.
